General Rules
please don't god-mod or powerplay. if you're not sure what that means, god-modding is making your character all-seeing and all knowing or allowing them to practically read other peoples' minds. powerplaying is when you control another person's character, and is particularly annoying if they're fighting please add your character's name, family, and age to your signature as soon as they're accepted please use chatspeak as little as possible (that means no 'g2g's, 'lol's, or 'brb's) waver town is open for all levels of rpers, but please try to be literate and not post any one-liners. give the other players something to work with! only one account per person. we have your ip addresses; we know who you are. mwahahahaha... be sure to separate ooc and ic, preferably putting ooc in parenthesis absolutely no swearing! keep the content pg-13. think, 'if my grandma walked in and saw what I was posting, would I be embarrassed?'...if so, change it use quotations when your character is speaking, and try your best to use good spelling, punctuation, and grammar. if you have a program like word, try running the spelling and grammar check on your post first please no completely ooc posts on a ic board. you can chat randomly on the general board, if you must as stated before, please try not to post one-liners your characters can fight as much as they want, but you must be civil with one another depending on your past activity, your account may very well be deleted if you don't log in for two weeks though this rule is subject to change, inactive members will be purged on the first of each month if your character is the mother or the father of a family and there isn't another parent, you may decide what the guest room looks like. you can put pictures and/or a description; whatever you want if there are in fact two parents, then they must agree on what the guest room looks like. if you can't, pm shadow or snowy if you want to delete one of your characters, either post the request for him/her to be deleted on their profile, or pm a staff member please don't double post!

Character Rules
make sure your character's full name is the title of their application thread don't see the form? never fear! the super-smart admins have the board modified so that when you click on the 'new thread' button, the form's right there for you be descriptive as you can. we want to be able to see your character as if they were real. you can put a picture of your character (under 'other') on the form, but if it stretches the page please just put a link to it be sure to have a family picked out when you fill out the form you must put a roleplay example for your first character; any folks after that you don't have to do it keep plots on the plot board, not on your character's profile if your character is young, be sure to play them at their age level. two-year-olds can't really take care of themselves if your character is a child of any character other than the main mother and father, then please post whose child you want your character to be, and they will say whether they accept that you are their child regular members have a limit of three characters, and the three characters must be in different families unless they are twins. twins are an exception to this, and count as two people to your limit. you will be able to add a character when your rank goes up. your rank goes up by posting. you may then add another character to any family. after you achieve top rank, you can have eight characters at most. (may change in the future) moderators and global moderators are allowed up to three characters in each family, and a total of ten characters. admins may have unlimited characters be sure to keep all your characters active! please check the family information page to see if the family you want to be in is full or not. if it is, please join a different family only admins and mods are allowed characters that are not in any of the original families. mods may have only three characters that are not in one of the seven families. admins have unlimited in each family if your character is 18 or older, they can live in a condo, but they still must be part of the seven families no more than two to three sets of twins in one family no same ages in one family, unless the children are nine months apart or twins no gay or bi characters! mother and father of families must be at least 39 if you play a grandparent, they must be at least 16 years older than their child

C-Box Rules
don't impersonate other people. don't spam no cussing no roleplaying on the c-box. messing around is fine, but no real roleplaying remember the grandma rule i know you read in the general rules don't insult anyone. you can tease and joke all you want, but we can't have members fighting please don't whine, ask for characters to adopt, or anything else along those lines please don't advertise on the c-box. members can post links to their site, but not repeatedly don't post more than three messages in a row. just make longer posts
of course, we're asking that you follow these rules. but if you don't, the following may happen...
your c-box posts will be deleted your ip address will be banned from the c-box your posts anywhere on the forum may be deleted your account will be deleted and/or banned from the forum your roleplay characters will be deleted
if you do not follow the rules and we ban your ip address and you access the c-box from another computer, that is fine, as long as you follow the rules. if you continue to break the rules from another computer, you will continually be banned and your account, e-mail, and ip address will be banned from the forum as well

Warning System
this is only the general outline of the warning system. punishments may vary, depending on the seriousness of the rule.
on your first strike, you'll get a warning pm and your post'll be edited on your second strike, you'll simply get a second warning and your post'll be edited on your third strike, you'll be banned for a week, knocked down a posting level, and your post'll be edited on your fourth strike (this isn't baseball), you'll be banned for two to three weeks, depending on the severity of the broken rule, you'll be knocked down two posting ranks, and your post'll be edited on your fifth strike, you're out. end of story
as stated before, this is only an outline. the admins will use the proboards warning system, so you'll be able to see your exact status. when your percentage reaches 100%, you'll be banned. if you're good, the admins may lower your warning level...also, remember that the admins are two different people; they may think one rule is more important than the other, so don't complain if they give a different percentage warning for the same rule.
